DARWIN DAY
Folia Magazine joins in today the celebrations for International Darwin Day!
Ever since publishing his history-making book, On the Origin of Species, in 1852, Darwin has evolved - pun intended - from being a "simple" scientist into being a symbol of scientific and intellectual progress for all peers, scholars, and freethinkers around the world. Darwin Day, celebrated annually on the scientist's birthday, thus aims to highlight the ever-present importance of intellectual bravery and curiosity, as well as scientific thinking and education. In order to do so, several events are held all around the globe: visit the official Darwin Day website for more.
